Not to mention it looks cool, and shows off Juuzou’s sickle. It’s a fast, gory anime, filled with people losing arms or their lives within a few seconds. Seeing Juuzou above Kurona and Shiro, admiring his handiwork is how the power dynamics of this show work: the strong hunt the weak, and there’s always someone stronger. While this is kind of a throwaway moment, especially in the anime, this scene’s composition is perfect for demonstrating what this show is about.
